Worlds Largest Volunteer Organization

Our 46,700 clubs and 1.45 million members make us the world's largest service club organization. We're also one of the most effective. Our members do whatever is needed to help their local communities. Everywhere we work, we make friends. With children who need eyeglasses, with seniors who don’t have enough to eat and with people we may never meet.

Each year, Lions clubs around the world proudly sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups. This art contest for kids encourages young people worldwide to express their visions of peace. For 308 years, more than 4 million children from nearly 100 countries have participated in this contest.

The New Providence Lions Club partners each year with the NPMS Art Department and students create their artistic views of that year's Peace Poster theme. Savings bonds or Gift Certificates are awarded to the top three posters and the winner moves to the Lions District 16J contest.
