The New Providence Lions Club is proud to announce that we have rescheduled our 2020 Golf Fundraising event for Monday, August 31st at Fox Hollow Golf Club. Registration 7:30AM. Shotgun start 8:45AM. For more information.

Although our initial thought was to cancel the 23rd Annual Pizzi Memorial Golf Tournament, based on inquiries and support from our Golfing participants and Donors and the success of social distancing and adherence to the public health guidelines, we have decided to reschedule our event for Monday August 31st. "With the long lock down, we recognize that many want to get back to doing the things they love.  With a strict eye on the safety parameters, the Lions Golf Committee hopes that all will enjoy this great golf course and the friendly competition that golf outings are famous for” said Tom Montrone Lions President.

Fox Hollow has once again agreed to host the Event after weeks of successful implementation of all the health and safety guidelines required by the state of New Jersey. The Lions look forward to again honoring Judge Frank Pizzi and supporting so many New Providence organizations thru your donations and contributions to this Memorial Fundraiser.

As you might expect, our Golf Outing will have a safer and simpler dining experience with a Box Lunch from the Grill rather than the full breakfast and lunch in previous years with an appropriate price reduction for the Event. In deference to our devoted Business Sponsors, we will not be soliciting Sponsorships as in previous years due to the present economic situation; we will however accept donations as part of our Fundraising effort.

Please join us for a fun-filled day of Golf which includes a Grill Lunch Box.

Looking forward, as this ‘New Normal’ evolves to a safer and more stable environment, we will be planning other events for the fall, namely our 2nd Annual Cornhole Contest to be held outdoors this September. Hopefully, an improving financial situation will allow all of us to think once again beyond the immediate needs of our friends, neighbors and local businesses to the ever present needs of our local organizations.

Be Well and Stay Safe!

Lions Club International's vision is to be a global leader in community and humanitarian service. Established in 1917, Lions Club International has over 1.4 million members, with 47,000 local clubs in more than 200 countries worldwide. Lions Clubs encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward. Lions' global causes include Vision, Diabetes Awareness, Childhood Cancer, Hunger and the Environment.

The New Providence Lions Club, chartered in 1969, is proud to have served the community of New Providence for half a century and reflects the ethics and ideals of Lions International. We are a vibrant and diverse group of 60+ members, both men and women, from different backgrounds and professions dedicated to giving back. 100% of the funds we raise go back into the New Providence community.

We serve the New Providence community in two ways. First, we raise funds and make donations to those in need and to those that serve the well-being of our community.  Second, by partnering with other New Providence origanizations to provide manpower for charity and community events.

We support the community through events such as our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, NPBPA Summer Concert Series, NPPBA Pumpkin Carving Contest, Veterans Day Luncheon. We also help support local charities and town services namely, the Community Service Association, American Legion, Police and Fire Departments, Library, Senior Center and more. We contribute to our schools through High School Scholarships, Safety events and the Middle School International Peace Poster Contest. Also, in certain instances, we have helped local families that have had children with severe medical conditions or other adversities. Our motto is "We Serve". The New Providence Lions Club strives to help make New Providence a thriving community to live, work and do business. Most importantly, we do all these good things for our community and still manage to share quality experiences and have a lot of fun.
